Reacting to the latest announcement that lockdown rules for meeting people indoors will not be relaxed this weekend, the Shadow COVID Recovery Minister, Darren Millar MS, said:
“I welcome the proposals to extend to social bubbles in Wales from the 22nd August.
"Many people have faced difficult choices as a result of the current limitations and this plan, if implemented, will help to get families and loved ones back together, and help many parents with childcare arrangements as they return to work.
"However, people will be disappointed that the plans to allow people to meet indoors from this weekend are being scrapped by the Welsh Government.
"Many will find it extraordinary that they can meet up with other people indoors in a local cafe or restaurant with dozens of other people present, yet they can't call around for a panad at someone's own home, mixing with far fewer people."
