“It’s all well for a Welsh Labour-led Government Minister to stand up and make promises of support to our vitally important farming sector, but those promises will only materialise if it is driven by a minister who has a finger on the pulse during this COVID-19 pandemic. “Time and time again, we have witnessed the Welsh Labour-led Government failing our rural communities- and just last week, the Rural Development Programme published a damning report into this government.
“What rural communities desperately need is any support announced by the Welsh Labour-run Government to detail the blueprint – which should include incentives for food security - for unleashing Wales’ environmental and food producing revolution.”
