The Welsh Conservatives have urged people to get behind Shop Local Week.
Commenting on the event, Russell George, the Shadow Minister for the Economy and Business, said:
“The last few months have seen great difficulties for our local businesses and as a result the UK Government has carried out every possible step to shield local businesses as best they can from the devastating effects of COVID-19.
“But now we can take another step in helping businesses, so I urge you to lend a hand by supporting Shop Local Week.
“Given local businesses are the lifeblood of communities across Wales and are a major pillar of our economy, it is only right that we support them. If you can, I hope to see as many of you as possible get behind your local businesses.
“Local businesses need our support more so than ever.”
