Zoos and aquaria in England can apply for help from a £100-million fund to keep them afloat, it has been announced.
Commenting, Andrew RT Davies MS – the Shadow Minister for Environment – said:
“This is all well and good for zoos and wildlife parks in England, but demonstrates again the precious little help the sector in Wales is receiving from the Labour-led government here.
“We Welsh Conservatives repeat our calls, now made for weeks, for a Zoos Fund to be established in Wales to help the sector – before it is too late.”
