In Plenary today (August 5), Paul Davies MS – the Leader of the Welsh Conservatives in the Welsh Parliament – quizzed the First Minister over his earlier statement on the reopening of businesses and facilities, including the hospitality sector.
Mr Davies said that he had been contacted by many people confused about current Welsh Government policy relating to eating at restaurants indoors with those from outside their household, or extended household.
Speaking later, Mr Davies said:
“People want clarity and we look forward to hearing what steps the First Minister will be prepared to take in the coming weeks to give more clearness to the messaging relating to easing lockdown, and to allowing more people in Wales to continue to form safe and sensible support bubbles.
“In turn, this will give a greater sense of security and confidence to our people, and to allow more people to return to work and interact further in the community – including supporting the struggling hospitality sector especially as part of the UK Government’s “Eat Out, Help Out” scheme.”
